Hi,
The other day I was listening to a podcast by a very well known scientist, psychiatrist and quantum physics enthusiast, who was saying about us Romanians that we are warmer, more generous, more welcoming people and that abroad it is not like that. The context of the podcast was the importance of good thinking, charged with positive energy and social relations, with a beneficial impact on ourselves and those around us.
This got me thinking about my years abroad and how it felt to live in the midst of very different cultures. Many of you know that I worked for over 15 years in China, Denmark and the Philippines, and experienced the culture, the customs, the people first hand. I don’t think I need to tell you how big the difference is between living in the middle of a Chinese culture versus a Danish or a Filipino culture.
I still vividly remember the experience of the last years in the Philippines, before returning to Romania. Warm, welcoming people, smiling and full of life, in many ways very similar to Romanians. Equally jumping and happy to welcome guests, Filipinos accept you in their circle of friends, in their family and it is very easy to feel at home.
However, although I was surrounded by friends and immediate family, I felt like I didn’t belong there and often felt very lonely. It was as if my energy field was severed from the mother field, and when I returned home it was as if I had reconnected to that field and felt whole again.
Many people asked me why I came back. Honestly, I cannot give a rational answer, but an emotional and subjective one. I simply felt the need to return home. Maybe there is some truth in the saying that the earth on which you are born has a specific energy and you need to return regularly to the place of birth to charge yourself with that energy.
But I think it’s more than that. I believe that it’s not just the energy of the earth, but especially the energy of the people around you. The family you grew up with, the friends you grew up with, the acquaintances, are all part of this energy field that you connect with and call home. Here, my personal field vibrates in synchronization with the energy field around me, with the mother field, and it is beneficial to me.
How do I know that?
Of course, I have no scientific support to prove the above statements, but we can draw some logical conclusions.
Just think of the moon’s influence on the tides. The Moon, more than 370,000 kilometers from Earth, moves an entire planetary ocean. So, I ask you, what effect does it have on us humans? But more importantly, what effect does the earth, which is not 370,000 kilometers away from us, but which we touch with our feet and hands, have on us? There is clearly a connection, which we do not perceive objectively, but it is very present and it is extremely strong.
Why am I telling you all this?
I want us to realize that we are energy and our energy field intertwines with that of the earth and influences our health. The fact that I felt a connection with my birthplace may not be very relevant, but it opened my eyes to how important is our relationship with the earth, with this energy field, the combination of nature and humans.
So I recommend:
1/ Be as connected as possible with nature by any means possible. Spend time outdoors, meditate, enjoy nature.
2/ Think positive, even in conflict situations. You will manage them much easier and limit stress. The vibration of your positive thinking will please nature (there are multiple experiments on this)
3/ Be aware that social connections are the most important component for a fulfilling life (according to the Harvard study). Your energy field will be optimally complemented by those close to you and will have beneficial effects on your body.
