TU Corporation

Hi,

You may have heard of Simon Sinek’s book, Start with Why, where the author explains, through examples and research, that knowing your WHY is one of the key motivational elements in life.

The book focuses on leaders who lead with a clear mission, a clear WHY, and that makes the entire organization thrive and employees truly care about the company they work for.

Imagine, for a moment, that each of us is the CEOof our body, with over 37 trillion employees, our cells (yes, trillions!), working tirelessly to keep us functioning optimally.

Is it worth giving this superb “corporation” a purpose? A WHY?

Who can run the corporation better than you? Anyway, you’re the only one at the helm, nobody else.

If you have a clear GOAL in mind, then your whole organization, your body, will work for that GOAL, will have a clear purpose, will care about the job it has to do 24 hours a day, will care about the free time you have, so valuable and often wasted on meaningless activities.

In my first personal development book, The Secret Code of Success – The JeDI Code, I showed the importance of defining your life mission and intermediate milestones and detailed the 12 principles that help you become a fulfilled person. I am not going to rehash the arguments in the book, I only want to emphasize that it is within your power to run this superb corporation as you see fit.

You are the absolute CEO of the corporation called YOU. You are elected for life, with full rights. You have powers over yourself that no one else has.

But you also have a big responsibility: taking care of the corporation. Your body, in all its vast complexity, needs very little to function optimally: water, rest, varied food, sport and, last but not least, a positive attitude. Add to that a WHY and the combination is miraculous.

Take that role as CEO of YOUR corporation seriously and take care of it, give it a meaning, a purpose, a WHY.

Good luck!

Water at the roots

I recently watched part of an interview with Rareș Prisecariu, a brilliant 10-year-old child with an extraordinary maturity in both his thinking and the way he speaks. At one point, he said a sentence that made me stop everything I was doing: “My mother is the water at my roots.” How beautiful and expressive. My […]

We wear masks

Have you noticed we tell stories all the time? Our brain is a drama-obsessed screenwriter. It writes scripts, screenplays, daily mini-series in which we are the hero, the victim, the moralist and the savior. They say, “If you could see yourself through other people’s eyes…” Or, “If you could see yourself as I see you, […]

Why do we love traveling?

A few days ago, my girlfriend asked me a question that really got me thinking: Why do most people have such an attraction to traveling? What do we actually get out of it? An interesting question, one I hadn’t thought of before from this angle. I took for granted that we all like to travel. […]
