Resolutions for 2024. Remember?

Hi,

On January 1, 2024, we’ve invited you to a challenge themed Resolutions for 2024, what’s important to you this year. We invited you to list at least 3 resolutions for the year 2024.

Do you have it handy? Or is it forgotten in a drawer? Or, worse, has it ended up in the wastepaper basket?

I hope, though, that you have that paper handy or that you are very clear on those 3 or more resolutions for 2024.

Do you prioritize them? Do you make an action plan for each resolution?

If you haven‘t already made a plan to follow through on those resolutions, don’t blame yourself. Change is hard, for anyone.

Paraphrasing Steven Pressfield in his book The War of Art, the feeling of fear and doubt is very normal and even beneficial. It means you care about that dream you have. Fear is a barometer that tells you whether that goal is important enough to achieve it.

As Steven says: “Remember one key thing: the greater the sense of fear you feel about completing a task or fulfilling a dream, the more confident you can be that it’s exactly the right thing to do.”

Now back to resolutions. It’s March 12th. It’s spring, the season of rebirth, of coming alive. If you haven’t started, start now. If you started timidly, put more energy and passion into realizing your dream.

There is no better time to start than now!

So, get that paper out of the drawer, look again at your resolutions and pick one of them. The most important one. Take small but determined steps. Use your time as an extremely valuable resource.

Remember: time is never wasted when you invest it in becoming a better version of yourself.

Good luck! Have a wonderful spring!

Water at the roots

I recently watched part of an interview with Rareș Prisecariu, a brilliant 10-year-old child with an extraordinary maturity in both his thinking and the way he speaks. At one point, he said a sentence that made me stop everything I was doing: “My mother is the water at my roots.” How beautiful and expressive. My […]

We wear masks

Have you noticed we tell stories all the time? Our brain is a drama-obsessed screenwriter. It writes scripts, screenplays, daily mini-series in which we are the hero, the victim, the moralist and the savior. They say, “If you could see yourself through other people’s eyes…” Or, “If you could see yourself as I see you, […]

Why do we love traveling?

A few days ago, my girlfriend asked me a question that really got me thinking: Why do most people have such an attraction to traveling? What do we actually get out of it? An interesting question, one I hadn’t thought of before from this angle. I took for granted that we all like to travel. […]
