I look at the glass of water on the bedside table. It’s morning and, for over 30 years, I’ve made a habit of starting the day with a glass of water before getting out of bed. It has become such a natural part of my routine that I don’t even notice it anymore.
Why do they do it? Because I recognize the value of water and understand the deep symbiosis we have with this essential liquid and its vital benefits for the body.
But I wonder: how many of us are really aware of how miraculous this transparent liquid is that many of us have in abundance, especially in the modern world?
Let me remind you of some of the benefits of water, from the simple and well-known to some of its less common, even esoteric, aspects.
Drinking water in the morning has become a habit for me from practicing yoga. It is often recommended in yoga and in Ayurveda – a traditional Indian system of medicine over 3000 years old. Known as Usha Paana Chikitsa, this ritual involves drinking water on an empty stomach immediately after waking up. It is said to help detoxify the body, improve metabolism and stimulate the digestive system.
Modern medicine confirms and scientifically explains the crucial role of water in the body: it is the medium in which most chemical reactions take place, regulates body temperature, transports nutrients, oxygen and waste, and supports cell and tissue structure.
All well and good, but water has other roles.
Richard Gerber, in his book “Vibrational Medicine”, explains in detail how water in homeopathic medicine has the ability to capture and store certain types of subtle energies, which have measurable effects on the human being. In homeopathy, the process of dilution, agitation and fortification leaves in the water only the subtle energetic qualities of the original substance, which transfer the healing properties of the plant or substance to the water.
Fascinating, isn’t it?
A skeptic might dismiss these ideas, but they have been proven in practice, with hundreds or even thousands of experiments proving that homeopathic remedies work because of the vibrational properties of water.
How’s the water?
Masaru Emoto, in his book “Hidden Messages in Water”, presented experiments demonstrating that human thoughts, words and emotions can influence the molecular structure of water. By exposing water to different stimuli, such as words, music and prayers, then freezing it and photographing the resulting crystals, Emoto observed that water exposed to positive stimuli formed symmetrical and beautiful crystals, while water exposed to negative stimuli produced chaotic and distorted shapes.
Despite the skepticism and controversy, these studies suggest that water not only physically sustains life, but can also respond in subtle ways to the environment.
Jose Silva, creator of the Silva Method, has introduced a revolutionary water programming technique, a key component of his self-help and meditation practices. This groundbreaking method uses water as a tool to solve problems and bring wishes to reality.
Among his most popular techniques is the ‘Glass of Water Technique’. It’s simple: before going to bed, you fill a glass with water and drink half of it, focusing intensely on a specific problem or dream you’d like to see fulfilled. As you sip the water, it is essential to formulate your intention clearly and firmly. Then you leave the glass on the bedside table overnight. First thing in the morning, complete the ritual by drinking the rest of the water and reaffirming your intention.
Silva argued that this practice programs the subconscious during sleep, a time when the mind is open to new suggestions. Water becomes a vehicle for your intentions, facilitating their clarification and manifestation. Over time, tens of thousands of Silva Method practitioners have applied this technique, experiencing remarkable benefits and positive transformations in their lives.
I guess I could go on and on with other properties of water and the impact it has on our lives, but I’ll stop here. Whether you’re a skeptic or not, it’s obvious that water has undeniable beneficial properties on our bodies.
If the above doesn’t convince you, then think about why the only thing astrologers look for on distant planets is water. Based on the presence of water, scientists can make predictions about whether or not there is life on that planet.
Water is life!
Give water the value it deserves.
A day with a smile!
