Thank yourself with… MORE!

Hi,

We have been programmed for generations with the idea of “settling for less”. We have been told that if we get too much then there will always be a balance, the other side of the coin, that will “put us in our place”, where we deserve to be. In Romanian culture this mentality, which focuses on scarcity, not abundance, is very entrenched.

But who decides what “our place” is to put us there? Who decides whether or not we deserve more? Is there some predetermined accounting from birth that limits our maximum happiness and wealth?

Don’t get me wrong! I am not an advocate of scientific materialism, but I firmly believe that there is a force in the universe that is still far beyond our current understanding and that plays a fundamental role in our existence as humans. Life, Consciousness, the Universe are so fascinating and we know so little about them, that I have no argument to be on the side of either the materialists or the theists.

I don’t think each one of us was born with a license plate that says the level of happiness and wealth we are allowed to access. X has 45% happiness. Y has 37% wealth. Compared to what? Compared to who?

And then, isn’t it our own limiting mindset and programming that convincingly believes that we don’t deserve more? And if, by some miracle, we achieve something fantastic, then in our mind springs up that thought, that little devil whispering in our ear that something has to happen to counterbalance that great achievement.

The thought occurs to you:

– Wait and see! Wait! It can’t last. Something has to happen. You’re losing something. Materially, emotionally, spiritually, in relationships. It doesn’t matter what, but you’re losing something.

Stop!

It won’t come true unless you firmly believe it! You expect it, you think it, it will come! A kind of self-fulfilling prophecy, and when it comes true, it reinforces your conviction that our wise predecessors knew better when they inoculated us with this mentality of lack, this idea of the other side of the coin.

Stop and change your point of view. Shift the paradigm!

Shifting this paradigm starts, however, with recognizing that you are worthy of more and that life can be lived in a state of abundance; materially, emotionally, spiritually, whether in your career or in your personal life.

The Universe is abundant! Wealth and happiness are not in limited series, they are boundless, infinite, and you have every right to have a share of this abundance. Recognize to yourself that there is no reason to “be put in your place” and that you deserve more and more.

The first thought I want you to have after an achievement, no matter how small or exaggerated, is gratitude, with no other limiting afterthoughts. Be thankful/grateful for what you’ve achieved and be fully appreciative of those who helped you get there.

The next thought I want you to have is that this is your new normal, the minimum point from which you will continue to grow.

Of course, life doesn’t happen in a linear way. You will have ups, you will have downs. But if you do happen to have some setbacks, I want you to be convinced that it’s part of life and not a policy you had to pay for your previous success.

Get up, dust yourself off and try again. Start only from your new normal up.

The paradigm I want you to build is that that MORE is well deserved and the Universe doesn’t work to punish you for succeeding, but encourages you to try again.

The universe likes success. It likes to be well, to convey only thoughts of contentment and gratitude.

Thank yourself with more!

Water at the roots

I recently watched part of an interview with Rareș Prisecariu, a brilliant 10-year-old child with an extraordinary maturity in both his thinking and the way he speaks. At one point, he said a sentence that made me stop everything I was doing: “My mother is the water at my roots.” How beautiful and expressive. My […]

We wear masks

Have you noticed we tell stories all the time? Our brain is a drama-obsessed screenwriter. It writes scripts, screenplays, daily mini-series in which we are the hero, the victim, the moralist and the savior. They say, “If you could see yourself through other people’s eyes…” Or, “If you could see yourself as I see you, […]

Why do we love traveling?

A few days ago, my girlfriend asked me a question that really got me thinking: Why do most people have such an attraction to traveling? What do we actually get out of it? An interesting question, one I hadn’t thought of before from this angle. I took for granted that we all like to travel. […]
